A Look Back At 2014
We arrived in Hruba Skala on April 23, 2014 after reusing the new route from Tampa to Zurich to Prague , a journey lasting just 11 hours and 30 minutes from origin to destination. But this time we were invited to upgrade, for a not inconsiderable sum, to Business Class. The first week or so, saw beautiful weather in The Czech Paradise; this allowed us to 'unpack' the residual contents of the barn, which thanks to Lucie and Vasek was minimal they having placed all the heavy stuff in place and cut the grass. We unwrapped all the equipment, and started weeding and planting, getting back into the European life. This was shortly curtailed when the Divine Authority felt that life was too easy and rewarded us with horrid, wet, cold, windy weather, which has lasted through May, with a very few nice days thrown in. Nevertheless, we've had some good evenings with our Czech family and friends in the village.
If this gives one the impression of deja vu all over again it's because the above paragraph is so minimally edited from 2013's story that it's uncanny. The picture is last year's or the year's before, since the view never changes. This is being written almost on the anniversary of last year's arrival date so the rest of the 'summer' has yet to be experienced.
