English Ham and Egg Pie, slightly modified

Cook Time: 60 mins
Ingredients for 6 servings:
1 cup milk
1 cup evaporated milk; used about 5 oz and supplemented with heavy whipping cream
4 eggs plus one to glaze the top pastry shell
1/4 lb ham, cut to bite size; added about 2 ozs of cooked bacon, but double that would be better
1/4 lb cheddar cheese, shredded
1 unbaked pie shell
added about 1/4 green pepper, finely chopped
added 6 medium field mushrooms, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix milk, evaporated milk, eggs, ham, and cheddar cheese together.
Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
Bake for 1 hour at 350°F
