Upside Down Kolač

Ingredients
4 eggs
4 tablespoons milled sugar
5 tablespoons flour
Zest of one lemon
Sliced apples
Vanilla sugar
Directions
Slice the apples and arrange them in a well greased cake form. Sprinkle with vanilla sugar. Beat the egg whites. Beat the egg yolks and mix in the powdered sugar, lemon zest and flour; when this is done fold into the beaten egg whites. Distribute evenly over the apples in the cake tin.
Bake at 325ºF until golden brown. Turn out upside down on to platter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
