Gene's Hearty Bacon, Bean and Sausage Pot
Great for a cold Winter day...
Ingredients
2-15 oz cans Cut Italian green beans
2-15 oz cans Lima beans
2-15 oz cans Pinto beans
2-15 oz cans Northern beans
2-15 oz cans Kidney beans
2-15 oz cans Baked beans, maple cured
1- Medium onion, chopped
1- package Bob Evans bulk hot sausage
1/2 package Bacon
6 Stalks Chopped celery
6- Cloves Chopped garlic
1/2 Bottle Barbecue sauce, sweet
1-15 oz can Corn kernels
1- 6 oz jar Sliced mushrooms
Preparation
Drain all beans and corn except baked beans- set aside. Brown sausage - set aside. Cook bacon and crumble- set aside. Sautée onion, celery and garlic in large pot. Add all beans, sausage, bacon, corn and mushrooms to pot. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook until flavors are combined and beans are still firm.
Serve as an entree with bread of your choice and a nice Chianti
