Mother Zdenka's Gulaš
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb beef cubed
5 dg butter/oil/shortening or whatever you prefer (just under 2 oz.)
2 large onions chopped or sliced as you prefer
1/4 tsp each of pepper, marjoram, sweet paprika
garlic to your taste
salt to your taste
1 tbls flour
Preparation
Fry onions until golden, add paprika and beef. Brown beef. Sprinkle with flour, add a little beef stock or water with rest of seasoning and simmer until meat is tender. Add additional beef stock if really necessary.
